ABOUT YOUR DIETITIAN
Hi, I’m Alyson— a Registered Dietitian with over 25 years of experience helping women achieve and maintain a healthy weight using realistic, sustainable approaches. I specialize in supporting women through perimenopause and menopause, a time when many feel blindsided by sudden changes in their bodies—especially unexplained weight gain around the midsection, lower energy, and a sense that nothing works the way it used to.
Many of the women I work with come to me feeling frustrated, overwhelmed, and dismissed. They’ve tried doing “all the right things,” only to see the scale creep up and confidence slip away. I want you to know: this is not a personal failure—it’s physiology.
My approach is rooted in science, compassion, and practicality. I don’t believe in rigid food rules, extremes, or an all-or-nothing mindset. Instead, I help women understand how hormonal changes impact metabolism, appetite, muscle mass, and stress—and how to adjust nutrition, movement, and lifestyle in a way that actually works now.
Menopause can feel volatile and unpredictable, but it doesn’t have to control your life. My role is to help you make sense of what’s happening in your body and give you clear, actionable strategies so you can feel more confident, more in control, and more like yourself again.
